⚡ Wait — what is "gas" and why do I need ETH?

Every transaction on Robinhood Chain and Base costs a tiny network fee called gas, paid in ETH (Ethereum) — usually a fraction of a cent. ETH is the "fuel" the network runs on.

Both paths below start by getting a small amount of ETH ($2-5 worth) into your wallet. Without it, you can't send transactions, can't bridge USDG, and can't buy $JOKR. Think of it like needing a stamp before you can mail a letter — the letter is your USDG or your $JOKR trade, the stamp is ETH.

⚡ Step 1 — Get ETH for gas on Robinhood Chain

1In Robinhood, buy or hold ETH (Ethereum). You only need ~$2-5 worth for gas.
2Tap the ETH position → Transfer → Send.
3Choose network Robinhood Chain. Paste your self-custody wallet address (MetaMask, Rainbow, etc. with RH Chain added).
4Confirm. ETH lands in ~1-2 min. This is your gas token — every transaction on RH Chain burns a fraction of a cent of ETH.

💵 Step 2 — Get USDG on Robinhood Chain

1Back in Robinhood: buy or deposit USD like normal.
2Go to Crypto → search USDG (Global Dollar) → buy the USD amount you want to move.
3Tap the USDG position → Transfer → Send.
4Network: Robinhood Chain. Same wallet address as Step 1.
5Confirm. USDG arrives, and now you have ETH (gas) + USDG (buy $JOKR with this). Hit the BUY button.

1Open Uniswap. Connect your Base wallet.
2Set From: Base + USDC. Set To: Robinhood Chain (Chain ID 4663) + USDG.
3Enter amount. Check the "You receive" section — if it doesn't include an ETH gas top-up on RH Chain, do a separate small bridge via Across.to first.
4Confirm. Uniswap handles the cross-chain swap in one transaction (a couple minutes).
5USDG lands on Robinhood Chain. Now hit the BUY $JOKR button.
